Project planning and implementation
Prioritize projects from importance and urgencyDefine economic feasibility (payback, rate of return, etc)Define detailed scope and action planIdentify critical paths of projectEnsure project is carried out as per scope and meets the timelineEngineering
Perform/Verify engineering and designs through calculations and rationalizationsOutsource if needed: use recognized engineering consultants to perform engineering works or to verify engineering designsProcurement
Identify suppliers/item specifications and negotiate on price, delivery and other terms and conditions as per standard proceduresUtilize market knowledge, specifications and competitionInitiate for purchasingFollow up on delivery and custom clearance issuesModerate understanding needed on import and shipping regulations (domestic and international)Budgeting
Estimate project costs through history of old jobs, quotations from suppliers, take off of the job, percentage of capital cost, crew size and time allotment, etc.Ability to prepare a commitment requestBudget management
Verify and keep track of account through updates (Base Level and Non-base level) Monthly planning on budget to reflect completed phases and to integrate future worksAccount reporting and management
Monitor and verify accounting works and the updating activitiesQuality control
Supervise and ensure that works carried out by contractors are done as per correct specifications and drawing: civil, mechanical and electrical.Make contractors accountable for poor quality work and ensure rework is carried out on time and properlyHealth and Safety
Ensure that all contractor’s employees are wearing their PPEDaily enforcement on Safety, especially when new jobs are assigned Continuously check safe operation of plant and workersEnsure that all safety signs are in place and correctly placedReport all accidents and incident to supervisor Conduct daily housekeeping inspections / enforce on daily basisSee that contractor works safely as per Cargill policies and procedures.Legal
Fully understand the contract terms and conditions (as per Cargill standards) and implement proper document management system: contract formation, enforceability, interpretation; bonds and insurances, mechanics’ liens, change orders, claim documentation, and costs of disputes.Fact based observations to be performed continuously.Meetings, Dispute Resolution & Document management
