Responsibilities:
TRENDS & FASHION Apply understanding of H&M trends, customer, concept to identify the right suppliers’ capabilities and skills.Based on the above, interpret trends into new materials & products with suitable suppliers. Keep every stage in the development process as efficient as possible. Follow closely what competitors are working on – product, material, qualities.
DEVELOP MATERIAL & SUPPORT PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT Identify & develop new material (includes fabric, yarn, components)/ treatment/ trims.Drive the developments to ensure best options, qualities, prices, and lead times.In pre-order stage, support Quotation Merchandiser with STUK appropriate options on fabrics/ qualities specific to product.Interpret concept to material. Work with suppliers/mills to develop their capabilities on new qualities and / or improve performance on complex qualities.For new material, update information and price in the system.Work closely with the Material Management team in PO for suppliers for new material, season’s materials etc.With Product Developer, support merch. team on the outlook of the new developments.Requirements: Positive, Curious, Own initiative  ,Strong team work & collaboration ,Clear communicationDrive & ambitions Researcher,Well organized ,See opportunities ,Good overview of own dept, Prod. Offices, local markets – helicopter abilityFashion sense & creative, Quality conscious, Business minded , Goal and result orientedTextile Degree or specific material specializationSupplementary course in fashionLanguage skills in English and local language(s).Preferably travelled to fairs, strong customer orientationVery strong knowledge of material, finish, product process (request to delivered product)
