Responsibilities:
Identify, characterize, assess/develop, recommend, and implement new cocoa bean process and specificationDesign, develop, and explore new cocoa bean process, and required to deliver the key process specificationsExecute research plans and conducts research on key cocoa bean development processesAbility to document, organize and summarize project results through verbal and written communications.Works to develop or ensure basic scientific understanding of the cocoa bean processProvide technical understanding of food science and the supporting sub-processes for the food material systems. Builds functional expertise and knowledge for cocoa bean development processProvide training and share expertise with other associates in their skills development.This position performs cocoa bean research, development and innovation. This position is responsible forcocoa bean processing research and will run cocoa bean processing trials, and be responsible for cocoa bean quality, flexibility and post harvest process control.This position will play role in Asia region or beyond, responsible for cocoa development and quality in origin; up country processing; and experimental trials in the region or beyond.This role will require an extended training in Mars USA for a few weeks.Requirements:
Key Functional Skills/Knowledge: A solid understanding of the key scientific principles associated with food systems, and ingredient and ingredient/process interactions, is critical.Demonstrate ability to think creatively and apply these ideas during research and process developmentAbility to understand and apply mathematical and scientific principlesGood understanding of food science, process engineering, food preparation, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).Flexibility to changing priorities and timelines with the ability to work independently with freedom from unplanned support.Critical thinking and logical problem solving skills.Willing to work “off shifts” maintain a flexible work schedule to meet project and business needs as required.General Requirements: Excellent in English (both written and spoken), with a TOEFL score of 500-550.Computer literate and having good communication, interpersonal, analytical, planning, presentation, problem solving skills and fast learnerHaving an excellent passing grade (min GPA : 3,00 scale 4)Desired Education: Bachelor’s degree in a Technical discipline (Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Chemistry or Biology or a closely related scientific field), Master degree is preferred.Application letter resume and the latest photograph should be submitted to send to : PT.
