MSC, which stands for Media Solution Centre, focuses on building content and service ecosystem for Samsung Smart Devices. Its service is divided into four categories; Content and Service Store, Partnership Management, Mobile platform, and service platform.Technical WriterJakarta Raya Responsibilities:
· Work closely with software engineers (client/server) and operations staff (system analyst) to produce software documentation requirement, including technical overview, installation, configuration and administration guides, API reference manuals, user guides, and online help systems· Review existing documentation and develop the overall strategy for documenting new releases of the MSCI services and its related applications and software components. Initiate the creation of new technical documents as needed· Design and develop uniform documentation for all MSCI products including administrators’ guide, end-user guide, SDKs· Actively contribute to the creation and enforcement of a standard terminology for all MSCI software components· Establish and drive a uniform review process for all MSCI technical documentation across geographically distributed development teams· Proactively manage documentation projects by creating and communicating documentation plans and schedules, tracking and reporting documentation status, identifying and working with management and various teams to remove roadblocks and escalate issues as neededRequirements: Demonstrated technical aptitude. Candidate must be able to pick up technical subject matter quickly and ask the questions needed to determine the relevant aspects of a technical product especially mobile (will be a plus) Minimum of 3 years experience, with 2 years recently writing for software products at a Senior Technical Writer level and for a variety of audiences: system administrators, end users, developers and service deliveryExperience developing Architecture Overviews for distributed systems with multiple layers of APIs and Connectors Experience documenting APIs, SDKs, and/or development frameworksExperience in technical illustration for items such as flow diagrams and server architectureEnthusiastic, highly organized self-starter who is able to work with limited supervision, thrives in an ambiguous environment and works well under aggressive schedules Knowledge of software development practices and toolsProven ability to quickly develop rapport with engineers and remote engineering teamsAbility to identify and communicate risks before they affect project deadlines or deliverable qualityThorough understanding of technical terminologyApplications are treated with the strict of confidence and only shortlisted candidates shall be notified.
